We’re already heading into our third pop-up event of the summer, and one thing has really surprised us—the incredible passion adults have for Hot Wheels and die-cast collecting!

Most of our pop-up sellers have featured die-cast, and the excitement has been amazing to watch. Collectors know exactly what they’re looking for, checking out new releases, hard-to-find pieces, and adding to collections they’ve built over the years.

The interest has been so strong that we now have three different suppliers helping us keep a dedicated area of the shop filled with Hot Wheels and other die-cast vehicles. We knew there was a collector community out there, but we didn’t realize just how strong the passion still is!

It’s been a fun addition to MOONEYES HAWAII and a natural connection to the hot rod and custom culture we’ve always enjoyed. Many die cast enthusiasts see the MOON logo on the cars but do not realize the history behind the brand. These pop-ups are an opportunity to share the MOON stories and history.

Small cars, big passion—and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down!
